Oh be still my beating heart! A whole month? It's almost like it's my birthday.
Instead of crafting though I spent the day cleaning my house. Bathroom and kitchen are both as sanitized as they ever will be with me as their keeper; floors swept, mopped and vacuumed; tables dusted; laundry...still piled up.
The cat has made a bed of the laundry at the moment, so I can't really deal with that until tomorrow. A cat needs her sleep.
All this to say in my long-winded way, that today I'm going to share wine craft related posts that other people have done. Let's just call it inspiration for the month. I'll get a hand-made crafty katie project up on Thursday though, I promise!
Project #1 - oooohh la la! Doesn't this look like a classy way to reuse your empty wine bottles? Etch them for storage of liquor or other liquids such as dish soap, flavored syrup, or vinegar. Click here for the tutorial on how to create these lovely bottles.
Here is a chalk board framed by corks for you to keep notes, make signs, or just create new art for any space in your home.
I know the holidays are a long way off, but this cork gingerbread man is worth remembering! Instructions found here.
Do you like to sew? Wine gift bags are always handy to have in stock for last-minute gift-giving. Here are instructions for sewing your own.
And - brilliant! - paint with wine. Here is the tutorial to make these coasters. Instead of painting though, I think I'm going to play with stamping with wine. In fact, I can't believe I've never thought to try that before.
Maybe because I drink it too fast!
If one of these projects inspires you, share what you make with us in the comments!
Happy Trills,
Katie
